Ahwatukee, an Indian word meaning “house of my dreams” or “magic place of my dreams,” is located just 15 minutes south of downtown Phoenix. Ahwatukee is actually part of Phoenix AZ, but because of Ahwatukee’s distinct and strong identity, it is sometimes perceived as a separate town.
